Revlon PhotoReady Concealer Review

Hey Everyone!

Up until now I have only ever used one concealer, Maybelline's CoverStick and it has always served me well.  It does it's job.  I was running dangerously low on it and went shopping to grab a new one.  In every shop I went into, they were out of stock, and I couldn't not use concealer in my makeup routine so I was forced to try something new.  As I was shopping, I couldn't find a concealer that was even remotely close to my freakishly pale skin until I came across Revlon's PhotoReady concealer.  I'll be honest, I bought this concealer on a whim as a last resort but I'm so glad I did it.

This concealer is so lightweight and still provides great coverage.  That is a match I must admit I never thought was possible in a concealer.  Usually the ones that provide great coverage are super thick and heavy on the skin (like Maybelline's CoverStick).  Once blended, this concealer provides an amazing natural finish with a slight "glow" to it.  If you have particularly oily skin this might not be a great match for you but combined with a oil-busting powder I think you would be perfectly fine.

The concealer reflects light and looks simply beautiful on the skin.  It is such a versatile product suitable for under eye corrections as well fighting breakouts and redness.

Over all I'm really happy with this product and I think this has become a new favourite of mine (sorry Maybelline).  Let me know in the comments if you have ever tried this concealer, or what your all time favourite concealer is!

The Fragrance Shop Discovery Club: 5th Edition.

Hey Everyone!

Today I'm back with another opening of The Fragrance Shop's Discovery Club Box.  If you missed my post on the 4th edition box, you can catch it here.  Today's box is the 5th edition special which contains 9 perfume samples and a book of £5 vouchers for each perfume at the Fragrance Shop.  The box, as it was last time, is a non contracted purchase and only costs £5.  The boxes are released quarterly and you aren't tied down with any subscriptions.  Although if you wanted, there is an option to join a years membership for £25, and part of the £25 is donated to the Ray's of Sunshine Children's Charity, so not only will you smell good, you can feel good too. You can read all about the Discovery Club here

The first perfume I picked up in the box was Jean Paul Gaultier's Classique.  One thing I must add about the full size JPG perfumes is - how gorgeous are the bottles?!  This particular perfume is very sweet rose and super springy in my opinion.  It also has quite a strong vanilla base.

Next in the box was Nina by Nina Ricci which is a perfume I always see advertised on T.V but have never actually smelt.  This one surprised me as it was a lot more citrusy than I thought with strong scents of lemon and lime.  But then it sweetens out to a slight apple-y scent and vanilla.  I really liked this one.

I also spied a favourite of mine, and a lot of people's I believe.  Gucci Guilty is the 'sexiest' woman's fragrance in the box in my opinion.  Although floral, it's a deep scent with rich amber scents and bursts of citrus.

Angel by Thierry Mugler is also featured in this box.  Angel is a floral scent with strong jasmine and vanilla scents.  It also has a hint of berry which is fairly similar to Philosophy's Falling In Love perfume.

Alien by Thierry Mugler also appeared in this edition.  With the name 'Alien' I never expected this perfume to be quite so romantic.  It's comforting and soft with again floral bases and jasmine hints. Again  this perfume would be perfect for spring and summer.  This is my favourite out of the two Thierry Mugler perfumes.

The last woman's fragrance included in the box is Givenchy's Very Irresistible. This perfume reminds me a lot of blossoms but yet still remains fresh and bright.

Moving onto mens fragrance, Boss Bottled by Hugo Boss was the first one I noticed.  I love the woman's version of this so I was really intrigued to see if I loved this one just as much and surprisingly (or unsurprisingly) I do.  It's a very warm fruited scent with cinnamon under notes.

There was also Hugo Man by Hugo boss included.  This one is a little more citrusy with a strong orange and grapefruit scent.

Finally, there was L'Eau D'Issey Pour Homme by Issey Miyake (what a mouthful).  This perfume has a strong sandalwood scent and is very warm.

I hope you all liked this post and I will speak to you all soon!

Life Saver, Lip Saver.

Hey Everyone!

I know I have taken a bit of a break from blogging for the past few weeks but...I'M BACK.  Things have been so crazy busy recently and then it was the festive period so it was madness.  Anyway, lets get going into the actual post!

Today I thought I would do a product review on a little live saver of mine, Jason's Lips Bee Healthier.  Does the extra e in bee give anything away?  Yes this product is made with Beeswax and contains 70% organic ingredients, so you have less nasty chemicals sitting on your lips.

Up in the North of Scotland, it has been fairly cold (when I say fairly, I mean really cold) and for me, cold = chapped lips.

This lipbalm is so moisturising and feels so smooth on the lips it's lovely.  It's not sticky, not clumpy and leaves your lips looking healthy and moisturised.  It also tastes slightly minty and has a refreshing tingle sensation on the lips.

The product is fairly cheap online, but I'm afraid I have no idea where you can buy it in store, sorry.

So overall, I really really like this lipbalm.  In terms of moisturising, it beats Baby Lips by a mile.  Its product that actually does what its supposed to.  Simple.

I hope you all enjoyed todays post and I will be back with another post at the weekend!
