My Top 5 Summer Fragrances

Hey Everyone!

Since summer has finally arrived (in Scotland anyway)  I decided to share my top 5 summer fragrances with you all! I tend to stick to more 'girly' scents purely because that's what I like, I like the sweet, floral and fun fragrances.  I've included some rough prices but as we all know, prices of perfume chop and change at every shop you go into so you really need to look around for the best deal.  So let's get into my top 5 summer scents!

  • So the first fragrance I love for summer would be 2 from the Ralph Lauren Big Pony Collection.  I seriously love this scent! Number 2 is described as the 'Sensual' fragrance of the group.  It's a fruity floral with key notes of cranberry and tonka mousse.  I would say this perfume is definitely flirty and playful and likely to catch the attention of your potential summer love.
Ralph Lauren 2 -  around £36.99 for 50ml
  • The next fragrance I would pick for summer would be Taylor Swift Wonderstruck. This is such a beautiful scent and already much loved by the beauty world.  The key notes for this scent are Hawaiian White Hibiscus, Honeysuckle,  Mimosa Flowers and Vanilla.  This scent definitely feels magical and it completely different to anything else in my perfume collection.
Taylor Swift Wonderstruck - around £28.50 for 50ml

  • The next fragrance is seriously summer.  Like summer in a bottle.  I adore it.  Its the Harajuku Lovers Sunshine Cuties in Lil Angel.  This fragrance is quite citrus with hints of vanilla topped with sugar.  The citrus side (Mandarin and Lemon) really makes this fragrance perfect for summer days.
Harajuku Lovers Sunshine Cutie, Lil Angel - around £10 for 10ml
  • Another fragrance I love, no matter what the season, is Hollister Crescent Bay.  I LOVE this scent.  Like seriously guys.  Its my staple.  I get so many complements when I wear it and I genuinely can not recommend it more.  The main notes in this is Watermelon and Californian Poppy and Aloe Vera.  Pair the perfume up with the body mist and you will be smelling fabulous all day long!
Hollister Crescent Bay - £22 for perfume, £12 for body mist

  •  The final perfume I love in the summer time, Sarah Jessica Parker NYC.  This scent is also fruity and floral with the main notes being Red Rose, Strawberries and Mimosa.  I've used this perfume for a couple of years now and I love it (and so does my mum, she is always stealing it!!). I also adore this bottle, it is so so cute!
SJP, NYC - around £23 for 30ml

So that is my favourite fragrances for summertime, I recommend going into shops and giving these a little sniff because they all smell great! I hope you all enjoyed this post and I will speak soon!

MAC Lipstick Collection

Hey Everyone!

Today I'm going to be sharing with you my MAC lipstick collection!  I've been collecting MAC products for a couple of years now but I am on a students budget so I only have 7 lipsticks.  I know some people don't even have that so I just thought I would share my little bunch with you guys!

First of all I would just like to say that I love MAC lipsticks.  I love every single one I have and couldn't flaw them if I tried.  Everything to the colour, to the texture, to the packaging just seems so luxurious and perfect. I definitely recommend trying out at least one MAC lipstick at some point in your life!  So without further ado, lets get into my collection!

Okay so the first MAC lipstick I ever bought was Creme Cup, which has a Cremesheen finish.  Creme Cup is a light blue pink and is a very soft shade.  The colour isn't overpowering at all and is perfect for everyday, subtle looks.  As for the texture, I particularly love Cremesheen finishes.  They feel so moisturising and light on the lips and has a gorgeous shine to it which means that lipgloss isn't necessary.

The second MAC lipstick I added to my collection was Speed Dial.  Speed Dial is a bright slightly blue toned pink.  It also has a subtle gold sheen underneath which will help it flatter the majority of skintones.  Speed Dial is also a Cremesheen but for some reason, I don't find it as moisturising as Creme Cup.

The next lipstick I'm going to talk about is Lovelorn.  I 100% adore Lovelorn.  Its a gorgeous medium toned natural pink with subtle cool tones throughout.  Lovelorn is a Lustre finish which is slightly sheerer than any other formula but is easily buildable.  Again they have a shine finish so a lipgloss isn't needed for Lustre's either.

Another MAC lipstick I own is Pink Plaid.  Pink Plaid is a matte blue pink which is easily buildable.  This colour can be built up to make it really intense or blended out to make it lighter and more subtle.  Although I love the matte finish, it can expose dry lips and show cracks quite obviously, so I recommend using a lip scrub before applying.

The next lipstick is another matte finish but it is a completely different shade to anything else in my collection. Its Kinda Sexy.  Now most people say that Kinda Sexy is a neutral pink, but swatched next to all the other pinks in my collection it appears slightly more neutral orange.  Its almost a salmony pinky orange in my opinion.

The sixth MAC lipstick in my collection is Hot Gossip.  Hot Gossip is a mid tone plumy colour with a pink hint to it.  It also has a slight shimmery undertone to it in the similar way to Speed Dial.  Hot Gossip is the shade I wore to prom, which you can see here.  Hot Gossip is a Cremesheen finish as well and has really nice staying power.

And the final MAC lipstick in my collection is from the Viva Glam Nicki Range.  Viva Glam Nicki 1 is a shocking, bright, bubblegum pink.  Usually this type of colour scares me because its so out there, but I am in love with this lipstick.  The thing I love about it is that it is so versatile.  If you want it bright, it can be bright, but if you want it toned down, just blend it out.  I also love the finish on this lipstick (Satin) and I'm eager to try more Satins because this just makes my lips feel so soft.

So that's it for my MAC lipstick collection, if you would like to see similar posts comment below and let me know!  I hope you enjoyed this post and I will speak to you all soon!

What's On My iPhone 5 Tag

Hey Guys!

I thought it might be quite fun to give you guys a sneak peak into all things me, so in general, my mobile phone!  I have the iPhone 5 and I've had it for a few months now and I really do love it.  I have quite a few apps, songs and TV shows so I thought I would share my favourites with you.  Oh and if your wondering the guy behind my icons is Jake Johnson from New Girl (Nick Miller).  My lockscreen is my little doggy Jaffa;

Apps

Okay so I have all the basics that iPhones come with (messages, calender, email ect) and I've kept all those apps exactly the same as the start up version so I will just skip over all of those.  The first downloaded app that you will see is Whatsapp Messenger.  I don't really use Whatsapp for texts, I mainly use it to send pictures to other smartphones to avoid any extortionate charges to my phone bill because Whatsapp is completely free.

Page 1

On the next page, my top line is all my social networking sites so they're all at easy access.  Then I have Youtube (always handy), Starbucks (for paying with my cards and tracking my rewards), Pintrest, and Mobile Banking.  3rd row down I have Bokehful (a picture editing app), PicFrame (allows several photos to be combined into one), Schedule (used for my classes and school schedule) and Temple Run 2 (my favourite go-to-game).  On the next row I have My o2 (keep an eye on my upcoming bills..), Candy Crush (which I never play any more because I'm just fed up of it), Sonic Dash (reminds me of the good old days) and Topshop which is probably a bad idea because it leads to unnecessary purchases.  On the last row I have Snapchat (makes me look incredibly attractive to all of my friends), then I have Tesco (not a clue why), Debenhams beauty club (still waiting for my actual card to arrive) and MAC.

Page 2

On my final page, I have Period Tracker (always handy to know when mother natures going to come and bite you in the bum!), o2 Tracks (all the lastest and greatest songs right now!),, Photo Editor (your basic photp editing app) and Video Star (I LOVE making silly music videos with my friends, they're hilarious to watch back!).  After that I have Big Day Lite which was counting down my days to prom but now that's over I don't know what to count down to now.  Then I have timer cam (handy no hands photo taker), Headspace which I recommend to everyone.  Headspace follows mediation techniques and really helps me relax and focus.  I also have 4od to catch up on all the latest shows.  Then I have google earth, Capture by Youtube (Capture videos and upload them straight from youtube), Tetris Blitz (super fun) and Table Top Racing which I have been addicted to recently! After that I have Vine, Bloglovin, Infinite Storm (rain noises to help me sleep) and Beautiful Mess (gorgeous editing app for pictures) and finally Groupon (tons of local deals going on!)

Videos

I actually have quite a lot of videos on my phone because I'm pretty bizarre and fall asleep listening to TV shows on my phone.  I have downloaded the entire series 1 & 2 of How I Met Your Mother but it took up so much space I remove ones I have watched too many times haha! I also have an episode of New Girl.

Videos
Music

I don't keep my entire iTunes library on my phone because I have my iPod too but I do keep 121 song on my phone.  Some of my top listened to songs right now include; Blurred Lines - Robin Thicke, La La La - Naughty Boy, Let Her Go - Passenger, Wild - Jessie J, Heart Attack - Demi Lovato and Hey Beautiful - The Solids.

So that's a quick brief overview of my phone, I hope you all enjoyed this post and I will speak to you all soon!

Get Ready With Me (Prom Edition)

Hey Everyone!

So as I promised today will be my get ready with me for prom post! I had so much fun at prom and really enjoyed getting all dressed up and ready to go! So I thought I would share my prom make up and hair look as well as other little bits and pieces I used to help me get prom-perfect!

Morning Routine

The first thing I did in the morning was grab myself some cereal (breakfast is so important, especially on a busy day) and after that I jumped in the shower.  I had already washed my hair the night before because I was getting my hair up for prom and we all know that updo's last better with second day hair.  So I just washed using one of my shower favourites, Lush's shower jelly in Sweetie pie (you can win it here).  After I came out the shower I moisturised my body with the Garnier Intensive 7 day Hydration Lotion for Normal Skin.  I then completed my daily skin care routine which can be found here if your interested in looking at it in more detail.  After all this was done, I had plenty time before I had to start doing my make up so I relaxed and watched one of my favourite movies.  Have you guys seen White Chicks? I think its just one of the most hilarious movies ever!

Make Up Routine

Face

The first thing I done before I even applied any make up was moisturise my skin again with the Simple Light moisturiser.  After I let this set in for a couple of minutes, I applied 3 different primers.  I know, it was maybe slightly extreme, but I wanted to make sure my make up stayed on all night.  I applied Benefits Porefessional on my T-zone, E.L.F Mineral Infused Face Primer to my cheeks and Smashbox Photo Finish Primer on top all over.  Next I applied No7 Beautifully Matte Foundation with my Real Techniques Stippling Brush.  After this I just applied Rimmel London's Stay Matte Transparent Powder.  For my blush, I applied Benefits Hervanna to the apples of my cheeks and blended it upwards along my cheekbone.  Hervanna is my favourite blush ever and I 100% recommend it to every single one of you.  As a highlight I used MAC's Pearlmatte Face Powder in the shade 'In For A Treat' and applied it across my cheekbones, browbones, the bridge of my nose and my cupids bow.  Finally I used my Bourjois Bronzing Powder in shade 51 for contouring and bronzing my skin.  I definitely recommend using bronzer if you are getting lots of pictures taken because without it, you may look washed out in pictures.

Eyes

To start with I primed my eyes and undereyes with the Smashbox Photo Finish Lid Primer.  Then I applied My Garnier Anti Dark Circles Eye Roll On under my eyes to brighten my eyes up.  I also used Benefit Eye bright in my inner corner and my brow bone to highlight and brighten my eyes.  The only eyeshadows I used for this make up look came from my Naked Basics Palette.  I applied Venus all over my lid, then applied Walk Of Shame to the outer 3/4 of my lid using a MAC 242 brush.  I then applied Faint to my crease with my MAC 217 brush and blended it out.  For eyeliner I used my Rimmel London Exaggerate Liquid Eye liner to create a slight winged eye look.  After this, I applied my favourite false eyelashes, Eyelure Naturalites Super Full and coated them with a layer of Bourjois Volume Clubbing Mascara.  I filled in my eyebrows using Browzings from Benefit in my Smokin Eyes kit.

Lips

For lips, I started off by exfoliating my lips with Lush Lip Exfoliator in Bubblegum.  Then I applied my MAC tendertone in Tread Gently.  I waited a couple of minutes for that to sink in and then applied a MAC cremesheen lipstick in Hot Gossip. And that was my make up look completed!

Hair

So for my hair, I had my hairdresser come to my house to style my hair for prom.  My hair was inspired by this picture of Vanessa Hudgens;

And this was the outcome;

Overall

I do realise this blog post has been really long but I knew a few of you on twitter were interested in this post so I thought I may as well go all out.  I had such a blast at prom so I thought I'd share a couple of photos from the night with you guys! I hope you enjoyed this post and I will speak to you all soon.

Bourjois Top Sellers Review!

Hey Everyone!

So if you follow me on twitter, you may or may not know that I recently won a Bourjois contest and received their top 5 selling products! So I thought I would give them all a try and review them all for you. But Firstly I just want to apologise for not using my own pictures as often as I should and when I do use my own pictures they are just being taken with my iPhone. This is because I have lost my camera charger and I'm waiting for a new one to arrive. But as soon as it does, expect lots and lots of swatches and other fun pictures! Lets get into the reviews!

So the first product I'm going to talk about is one that I actually already owned. This is the Bourjois Bronzing Powder. I absolutely love this product.  First of all, as soon as you open this up you get this whiff of gorgeous perfume which almost smells chocolatey.  The appearance of this product even looks like a little bar of chocolate!  This is actually my favourite bronzer and I use it all the time in summer.  Its nice and pigmented and easy to blend into the skin.  I'd also just like to add that I am extremely pale but this doesn't even appear orangey on me which is very difficult to find.  So I would 100% recommend this product to you without a single doubt in my mind. I'd also like to point out I did attempt to swatch this for you but the pictures really didn't do the product justice so I just left them out.  This product is actually featured in my giveaway so enter it if you want the chance to win one!  I currently have 3 of these floating around my house so that tells you enough...

Next I'm going to talk about a blush, shade 39, rose mandarin to be precise.  Before I won this contest, I had never tried a Bourjois blush before and I must say I was pleasantly surprised.  I was a little unsure of the colour because it is slightly more mandarin than rose in my opinion.  But once I tested it I was converted.  It was super pretty and paired with the bronzer, gave me a lovely bronzed summer look that I just loved.  Similar to the bronzer in application, the blush was incredibly easy to blend, almost foolproof.  I really liked the packaging of these blushes and they come with adorable little brushes for on the go application.

The next product is probably my favourite that I received and I instantly fell in love.  Its the volume clubbing mascara.  Now I'm not usually fussy when it comes to mascaras, I seem to chop and change mine all the time.  But this is a game changer.  I don't have particularly long eyelashes, in fact they're quite short but it was nearly impossible to tell with this on.  I swear my eyelashes have never looked so long.  When I wore this I got so many compliments on my eyes and my mascara was the only thing I had changed.  Even total strangers at work were telling me how gorgeous my eyes looked.  I can officially confirm this is my new best friend.

Moving on, I also received one of the 3D effect glosses in the shade rose dynamic.  First of all, this colour is absolutely stunning.  Its a gorgeous bubblegum pink with a slight red tinge to it.  Absolutely perfect for summer!  The colour looked really pretty on my lips and I really the appearance of it.  The gloss also had a slight perfume fragrance which I actually really liked.  The only thing I didn't particularly like about this product was that it was slightly sticky after a couple minutes.  But apart from that it is a lovely product.

And the final product I won was the Dissolvant nail polish remover.  I was a little late on the band wagon with this one as I had never tried it before.  This product is really effective at removing nail polish and is super quick as well.  However it doesn't live up to the claim of it only taking 1 second, I'd say more 3-4 seconds which, don't get me wrong, is still so much quicker than regular nail polish remover.  Another thing about this I wasn't particularly keen on was the over powering scent.  I know most nail varnish removers are really strongly scented, but I was almost chocking on the scent of this and had to wash my hands immediately after because my hands just smelt of it.  Its a really effective product but I think I'll probably just leave it to nail polish emergencies.  If strong scents don't bother you it is a really good products but unfortunately my nose is very sensitive.

Overall, I loved all of the products I won and I feel so lucky to have won because I never win anything!  And it gave me a great opportunity to write a thorough review for you guys!

So I hope you enjoyed this post and I'll speak soon!
