Dermalogica Clean Start Wash Off Review

Hey everyone!

Today I'm going to be speaking about something I have loved for about a year now.  It's the dermalogica Wash Off cleanser.

Dermalogica is a brand I first discovered when on a beauty therapy course. We used dermalogica products for facials, and my skin seemed to love it. So when I browsed online I discovered the Clean Start range, a range specifically developed for teen skin.  Maybe I should have started with this but I have very spot prone skin. I wouldn't say I have full blown acne but there isn't a time I remember being completely spot free. My skin is also quite oily in my t-zone.

With that being said, whenever I use my wash off cleanser, my skin is noticeably better the next day.  And if I actually stick to using this (I am SUPER lazy when it comes to a skincare routine) my skin is so clear!! My redness calms down, I have considerably less spots and my t-zone is much less oily.  I have actually stuck this in my shower to encourage me to use it more often (any excuse to stay in the shower longer).

I genuinely wish I wasn't as lazy as I am with skincare because this product is great.  It's obviously great because it makes me want to become a less lazy person.  I know it's a little pricier than a lot of "drugstore" skincare retailing at £14.30 but I think you get what you pay for. Because the formula is concentrated to mix it with water to lather it so it lasts such a long time. I've been using this for about 6 months and I'm still on my first bottle.

I genuinely think this is such a great product and everyone struggling with teen skin should give this a go. I hope you all enjoyed this post and I will speak to you all on Tuesday for the first "tester Tuesday".

My Little Black Sample Box

Hey everyone!

Over the past months I have accumulated more testers than any person should ever need.  I decided to put them all in a box under my vanity in hope I will start using them.  Every week I plan on having a review of one of the products in my box for you all.  This will range from perfume to skincare to body care to makeup to pretty much anything.

I strongly believe in the use of testers as it gives you an actual idea of whether you like a product or not, before your purchase a big tub of it that could put you out of pocket.

I plan on trailing each product until its finished (or 1 week for the larger testers) to give you all a true, honest impression! These posts should be going up every Tuesday and should henceforth be known as "Tester Tuesday" (how inventive Katie).

I hope you are all as excited as I am. Reviews are some of my favourite posts to write and read so it should be bundles of fun!

Fall-ish Polish

Hey everyone!

With fall fast approaching, I thought I would share my five favourite fall polishes with you all.

My first polish is one I have been waiting all year to use.  I got this polish in my glossybox at around February time and I just felt it was such an autumn shade that it was almost inappropriate to wear any other season.  The shade is "elegant" by Seshe, a brand which I had never tried before.  It's a lovely burnt orange share with gold shine.  It applies nicely to the nails but chips easily without a top coat to seal it in.

Next is a cult favourite of mine, regardless of season.  Essie " eternal optimist" is a perfect pink-nude.  It's such a warm, cozy colour, it's perfect for the fall time.  As always, the Essie polishes apply with ease and could do with just one coat.

Another favourite of mine for fall is Avon's Vixen.  Vixen is a deep burgundy red with a purple tone to it.  I think it's such a gorgeous shade for the colder months.  The polish applies nicely with the need for two coats minimum.

In addition to these, Nail Inc's "St. James" makes the perfect fall red.  The red is bright yet dark enough for the fall months.  It applies with ease and needs two coats for a good finish.

Finally, another Avon polish makes an appearance in my list in the form of "Dynamo".  This glitter polish is a deep burgundy-wine with silver and purple glitter. To get the best finish, three coats works best.

I hope you all enjoyed this post and let me know in the comments your favourite fall polishes!  Thank you for reading!

Weekly Catch Up

Hey everyone!

I'm SO sorry I haven't blogged much this week!! I've literally been so busy I just haven't had the chance.

I thought I would catch you all up on everything I've done this week just as a quick round up and so you know I'm not just ignoring my blogging commitments.

I started college this week!!  College came round so fast and I could barely believe it when I was getting ready for my first day.  I'm studying Business at college and it looks like I'm going to have a busy few years! Although it seems like a lot of work, I'm really looking forward to it!

As well as starting college I started a new job this week!  I recently got a new job at B&Q in pricing so I'm going to be kept busy at work as well.  I was just looking for a job that I found more challenging, and my new role seems to be exactly that.  It seems quite difficult but hopefully I will get used to it.

As well all of these changes happening, sadly I will be loosing a few friends.  A few of my best friends are moving away to university, some even over the other side of Scotland.  So I have been trying to squeeze in every last minute I will have with them until they come home at Christmas!

I hope you can all forgive me for barely blogging this week.  Normal blogging should resume soon!!

Thank you for baring with me,
Katie

MAC ABERDEEN

Hey everyone!!

I just thought I would share this little post for anyone who doesn't already know...

If you aren't aware the north of Scotland has never had a MAC.  My closest MAC has always been Glasgow which is 300 miles or so away.  Not handy.  So when MAC announced they would be launching a store in Aberdeen Union Square, I completely freaked. To say I am over the moon is a slight understatement.  Ill finally be able to Back to Mac, and test products before I buy, try some of the foundations in the right shades and so much more.

I'm hoping to take the day off work to make the launch to post about it all for you.

WHO'S EXCITED?!?!
