Vanity Tour and Makeup Collection

Hey everyone!

I know I know.  I promised to do a vanity tour when I first got my vanity back in JULY from Ikea.  Since it's now November, I thought it's about time I done it.  I actually feel happy about doing it now because I'm happy with where everything is/how everything's worked out.  Just wanted to say blah blah blah I'm not bragging ect ect, I just think these are really fun posts to read and write.  So without further ado,

So starting off simply, I have a little candle trio.  I'm currently burning Leaves by Bath and Body Works with two little Yankee Candle Votives sitting patiently by (Cranberry Zest and Cherry Vanillia).

Then I have a little fairy ornament with beautiful blue patterns that my grandmother bought for me because the fairy "has the same colour of hair as me", bless her.

Then I still have my tv sitting on my vanity, I have plans to get this up on the wall but it may be a little while until I get around to that.

Moving swiftly on to the most exciting part (I think), my lipstick and makeup brush collection.  As a massive lipstick horder I wanted to display them all lovely in some acrylic storage.  My most used sit in a little lipstick rack I found on ebay, and the rest sit in two 3 drawer storage from Homebase.  Then in the drawer underneath my makeup brushes I keep all my pocketbacs by Bath and Body Works.

Then I have my Glitzy Glam makeup brush holder which I love!  I'm badly in need of another because this one is overflowing with brushes.

Next to that I keep all my makeup palettes and a random little rollerball perfume by Ralph Lauren.

Hidden behind my palletes, I keep my "reach for products" in an old, cleaned out, 3 wick candle jar.

Then I have my mirror which I got from Tesco for around £10.

Next to the part most of you are probably interested in, my makeup collection (minus lips which is already been shown).  My drawer superstore are also from Ikea and I cut them to make it the way I wanted them.

Along the left hand side, I keep most of my baby lips (I have another one at my bed side and one in my handbag).

Next along I have my face products.  My foundations, primers and concealers are all kept in this compartment.

Then above that I have other face essentials, bronzes, eye rollers, eye creams.

In the next compartment I have my face powders and blushes.

Next, I have my eyeliner compartment. This varies so much from pencil to liquid to black to blue.

Next I have a bit of a random compartment with bits and pieces that were too big for their true places.

Then I have my single eyeshadows and colour tattoos.  I only have two types of single eyeshadows, MAC and the old Benefit Velvet shadows which I love.

My final compartment is my mascaras.  I have way more mascara than I need but I love mascaras.

So another quick overview of the drawer;

Then next along I have my nail varnish collection which I'll write about another time if you all want me too.

Then in the cupboard below it has 3 different shelfs.  The three boxes I bought  were from TK Maxx.  The first has a bunch of nail accessories, the second has deodorants and perfumes, and the third a bunch of random products.

I hope you all enjoyed this post today!

The Perfect Christmas Gift Set

Hey everyone!

I know I know, it's only November 1st!  But recently I bought myself a little gift set as a pick me up and I just wanted to share with you all how perfect I think it is for any woman's Christmas.  Whether your stuck for a gift for your mum, grandmother, sister or even your friends, this set is a sure win!

Philosophy was a brand I have been eager to try for a long time so when I seen this fragrance gift set at £17.50 I just had to give it a try (as the perfume alone was £36, so your getting a proper bargin!).  The gift set follows the perfume "Falling in love" in a 60ml perfume, 60ml Shampoo bath and shower gel and a 60ml body butter.

The fragrance is so beautifully feminine.  It was really risky buying a fragrance online but this is such a sure winner.  It's soft - not overpowering - and smells to me like vanilla and berries.  It's sweet, but not sickingly.  It's cozy, but not too warm.  I genuinely can not think of one female I know who wouldn't like this.  I've already revived so many compliments from wearing this!  It's so lovely!  The body wash and butter add to the scent and is perfect for layering together.

Philosophy Falling In Love Gift Set - £17.50 - Debenhams.

I hope you enjoyed today's post and I shall speak to you all soon!

October Favourites

Hey everyone!

I've not done a favourites post in a couple of months so I decided to do one today!  The month of October found me rediscovering some things in my makeup collection that I haven't used in some time, and falling in love with them all over again.  Let's get into what products I've been loving this month!

I bought this Tangle Teezer a few days ago and I'm in love with it already.  It detangles my hair without any tugging or pulling on my hair and I've already noticed less of my hairs falling out.  And it's bright and fun!
Tangle Teezer (The Original) - £10.99 at Boots.

My most worn lipstick this month has to be Pink Plaid by MAC.  It's such a gorgeous matte finish and it feels so luxurious and creamy on the lips.
Pink Plaid - £13.50 at MAC

Next is another lip product - my EOS lipbalm in what I believe is pomegranate and raspberry?  I'm sorry I'm not exactly 100% sure on the flavour but it's the pink one?  I won this in a blog contest a few months back and it's really been so lovely this cold month.  It's super moosturising and I use it every single morning.

My next favourite is my only boxed blush by Benefit (unfortunately) that I have had as a loyal companion for over a year now.  This is such a stunning blush and has to be my favourite blush in my makeup collection.  Each colour is so beautiful on it's own or perfect swirled together with the others.  Oh and did I mention it smells divine?
Hervana by Benefit - £23.50 at Boots

My next favourite is part of a box swap I recently took part in with Valarie.  This mascara is amazing! I'm completely hooked.  It feels so light on the lashes and provides great volume and length.  Addicted isn't the word.

For my non beauty favourite I've really been loving CANDY CANES!! I know it's still a few months until Christmas but hey.  I love candy canes so much so when I seen a box of 12 for 79p in Home Bargins, I couldn't resist.

I hope you enjoyed this months favourites post and I will speak to you all soon! Let me know in the comments which products you've been loving this month!

Essie "Bahama Mama" Review

Hey everyone!

Today I have a slightly different review for you all - a nail polish!  I don't think I've ever reviewed a nail polish before but here goes nothing.

Bahama Mama by Essie is the perfect fall/winter shade.  The colour reminds me of rich winter berries.  There is also no denying that maroon colours are totally in this fall.

This polish really only needs two coats at the most but it is possible to get away with only one coat (I just always think two coats looks better, regardless of polish).  This is definitely one of the most shiney Essie polishes I've ever come across.  I actually have been asked a few times if I have gel nails when I'm wearing this colour.

I am a huge fan of Essie polishes but I usually tend to stick to blues and pinks, this shade was a jump out of my nail wardrobe but I'm so glad I bought it and it's one of my favourite polishes, ever.

Let me know if you've ever tried this polish or what other Essie shades I should try out!

Winter Wishlist

Hey everyone!

As we move from the warmth of autumn into the bitter coldness of winter, those cozier items begin to crop up on my wish list.  I thought I would share my Winter Wishlist with you all!

1. Tartan Scarf

I've been loving the tartan trend but I'm not brave enough to tackle anything more than a scarf.  I think tartan scarfs are such a cute and cozy accessory and look great in the winter months.  I've yet to find my "perfect" scarf but I've seen a couple I like, including this one from H&M for £4.

2. Winter Candles

Candles are pretty much an essential to me regardless of the time of year but I especially love candles in winter.  Candles completely set the mood when your stuck indoors on a snowy day tucked up in bed watching a movie.  There's one particular candle I have my eye on - Merry Marshmellow by Yankee Candle - and it smells delicious.

3. Black Riding Boots

I'm obsessed with riding boots and my tan ones are my babies (even if those baby's give me blistered 50% of the time).  I wanted a black pair last year and never got around to it but this year I will get a pair.  I have my eyes on this pair from New Look for £24.99.
4. Topshop Lip Crayon

I LOVE the look of this colour (Suspect)!! It seems like the perfect A/W shade! And I've yet to try any makeup from topshop!

5. Too Faced No Makeup Makeup Palette

For day to day wear I like to keep my makeup to the bare minimum (minus a rocking lipstick).  And as a red head, finding foundations is a task on its own.  This palette looks like it would help achieve a beyond natural skin look and I really want to try it.

6. Tiffany's Elsa Peretti Color by the Yard Ring

My birthday falls within the Winter months and this year on the 21st December, I'm turning 18.  For my 18th birthday I would love to get a special piece of jewerlly I can keep forever, but also get a lot of wear from.  I've loved this ring from Tiffany's for years and I will be dropping subtle hints throughout the next few months.  My mum already said that I can get the ring but incase she forgets haha!

I hope you enjoyed reading this post today! Have a good day and I will speak to you all soon!

Discovery Club by The Fragrance Shop

Hey everyone!

Today I'm going to be talking about a new beauty box on the scene. Not another beauty box I hear you all yell at your interweb page. I know I know, there is so many out there now it's pretty difficult to find one that "stands out from the crowd".  The fragrance shop have not long released their fourth edition Discovery Club box.

This dinky little box is firstly very cute.  Second of all it's is filled with the latest perfume samples and vouchers worth £60! As a big lover of fragrance I was super excited when asked if I would like to give this box a trial run.

The little booklet include supplies a lot of detail of each perfume included and a £10 voucher for each perfume.  What's great about the vouchers is that they are redeemable online (I don't have The Fragrance Shop anywhere near me so I was worried they were only "in store coupons".  Another great thing is that this box isn't a subscription! It's £5 and your not tied down to any contract. A new box is release quarterly and it's entirely up to you whether you get it or not.

As soon as I opened the box I was hit with that "perfume shop scent" which if I'm honest, I would love a perfume of!

As for the six fragrances inside I can truthfully say I loved them all.  There was 5 woman's fragrance and one men's and I think the men's was my favourite!! It's exactly what every girl wants a guy to smell like! (For those of you stuck on what to get your boyfriend/husband for Christmas this year, go into a shop and give this one a sniff!!).

My other favourite was Boss for her by Hugo Boss and I'm definitely going to treat myself to this!! And instead of £36.99 I only pay £26.99 with my £10 voucher (fabby!).

I hope you all liked today's post and I would like to thank the Sparkle PR girls for letting me try this box and for your lovely letter!
